Three loops that cross and hold.
Collect. Curate. Create. It is the mark, it is the method, and it is a verse from Ecclesiastes we could not shake.
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.Ecclesiastes 4:12
Collect
We find makers first and products second. Half the shelf comes from people we can phone — a resin importer in Cape Town, a letterpress printer twenty minutes away, a family in Nepal who harvest spikenard the way their grandparents did.
Curate
Then we cut. If it needs a manual, if it will not last a year, if the verse on it has been trimmed to fit the label — it does not make the list. What is left is small, and that is deliberate.
Create
The rest we make ourselves. Wax is measured by scale, not by eye. Every candle is poured, cured for two weeks, trimmed and labelled by hand, and every box is prayed over before the ribbon goes on.
Four years, slowly.
A kitchen table, four tins of wax, and a friend in a hard season who needed more than a card.
First church market. Sold out of the Psalm 119 pour by 11am and went home early.
Moved into the studio. Added prayer oils, then the boxes, then the first tees.
Six collections, a proper curing rack, and still fifty candles a batch.
Opened the shop online — the same batch size, a wider door.
Four things we hold to.
Made by hand
Every candle is poured, cured and labelled in our Durban studio. No production line, no shortcuts.
Scripture, not slogans
Every verse is quoted in full and referenced properly. We would rather print less of it than bend it to fit a label.
Honest materials
Coconut-soy wax, GOTS cotton, real resins. If it is on the label it is in the bottle.
Out within 48 hours
Orders leave the studio in two working days, gift-wrapped as standard at no extra cost.
